Amethyst: Healing Properties & Practical Uses

Amethyst: Healing Properties & Practical Uses

WHAT IS AMETHYST?
Amethyst is a form of Quartz. It gets its color from iron & aluminum. Amethyst can be found all over the world and is commonly mined in Brazil, Russia, Mexico, Bolivia, Africa, Canada, and the United States.
Amethyst ranges in color from very pale to very deep purple.

HEALING PROPERTIES OF AMETHYST

Amethyst is one of the best stones for intuitive work. It helps both the third eye and crown chakras flow freely, and it helps you remain grounded and centered while receiving information from higher realms.

Amethyst has traditionally been used for counteracting behaviors. It can be used to help identify root causes of behaviors and support your energy while you work to change those behaviors.

The Greeks believed it could prevent intoxication.

CLEANSING YOUR AMETHYST
Amethyst can be cleansed using water, smudging, salt baths, other crystals such as Clear Quartz or Selenite, and moonlight. If cleansing your amethyst jewelry, avoid water, not because of damaging the stones but to make sure the stretch materials will last as long as possible!

PRACTICAL USES OF AMETHYST
Place amethyst anywhere in the home to maintain a state of balance. I especially love to keep it in the kitchen. I feel like it diffuses the energy in that space so well.

Meditate with amethyst to deepen your connection with your guides.

Wear amethyst jewelry to clear and balance your third eye and crown chakras.

CRYSTAL PAIRINGS

The protective qualities of Amethyst is enhanced by Black Tourmaline. Amethyst also pairs well with Clear Quartz, Chrysoprase, and Tigers Eye
